Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer / technician to join our team and oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of our refrigeration systems.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and controls.
• Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components to restore system functionality promptly.
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement strategies for improving energy efficiency and reducing operating costs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and spare parts to facilitate efficient operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to refrigeration technology and seafood preservation.
Qualifications:
• Degree or equivalent certification in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various types of refrigeration equipment, including knowledge of electrical and mechanical components.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, thermodynamics, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and vendors.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours and weekends as needed, especially during peak seasons.
